Farmak International Shares Inside Look at Its New Aseptic Facility in Spain

The latest video from Farmak International showcases its aseptic facility in Spain and the company’s growing capabilities in sterile injectables.

Farmak International has released an inside look at its new aseptic sterile injectables facility in Spain, giving partners, healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders a closer view of the site’s design, capabilities, and future contribution to the company’s Intensive Care Medicines portfolio. The facility was formally presented during CPHI Frankfurt, where Farmak shared the new video tour—now publicly available on YouTube.

Located near Barcelona, this next-generation facility is purpose-built for aseptic manufacturing of sterile injectables used in critical care and ICU settings. The site incorporates restricted-access barrier systems (RABS), single-use technologies, and advanced environmental and quality monitoring systems, enabling high levels of sterility assurance and operational efficiency. Its layout also integrates R&D areas to support seamless technology transfer from development to future commercial-scale production.

This facility is a key step in strengthening our ability to supply critical care medications with reliability and precision. Every vial must perform exactly as intended, because in an ICU environment, the stakes couldn’t be higher

The Spanish site expands Farmak Group’s European manufacturing footprint. The company now operates three pharmaceutical production sites across two European countries, supporting long-term supply resilience and reinforcing its presence in highly regulated markets.

The new facility will serve as an important pillar of Farmak International’s ICU-focused strategy, encompassing anesthetics, antithrombotics, cardiologics, spasmolytics, antipsychotics, and other critical medicines. Its future-ready infrastructure can accommodate additional complex sterile forms as global healthcare needs evolve.

The presentation of this site comes at a symbolic moment: in 2025, the Farmak brand celebrates its 100-year anniversary. The Spanish facility represents one of the Group’s first steps into its next century, continuing a legacy of pharmaceutical quality, innovation, and patient-focused responsibility.
